The primary responsibility will include: Database performance tuning DB monitoring Resolving database related issues Laying best practices guidelines for set up of databases Writing backend procedures for ETL to load into DWH POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Data Engineer, Sr. Data Engineer based on skills and experience JOB LOCATION : Alwarpet, Chennai JOB PROFILE : 1. The applicant should be good with Oracle and MYSQL. Should possess database administration skills and ability to handle Oracle apps. 2. Would be required to set up and manage clusters (most likely Oracle – VM’s) 3. Tasks would include managing and administrating some backend ETL programming on Windows and Linux platforms. 4. Document and administer the set up and administration process 5. Manage 3-5 database with MYSQL in a cluster KEY SKILLS (Must Have): 1. Experience in Data extraction, Data transfer and Data warehousing. 2. Experience in setting up and managing clusters of VM’s (Oracle) and administrating performance 3. Hands on experience using Oracle apps, Oracle portal, MYSQL, T-SQL 4. Should be willing to work across databases like Oracle/Mysql etc 5. Good knowledge in troubleshooting issues pertaining to clusters OTHER SKILLS (Nice to have): 1. 2 – 4 yrs of real world experience handling clusters and VM’s 2. Good analytical, development and communication skills 3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. 4.
